Born on September 22nd. 1957 in Burbank, California. At age of 9 started to study playing piano, violin and guitar. When his elder brother organized a band he started to play bass at age 13.１９５７年９月２２日、カリフォルニア州バーバンク生まれ。９歳からピアノ、バイオリン、ギターを習う。兄がバンドを結成したのを期に、１３歳からベースを始める。
Relocated to Tokyo, Japan in 1980 to work for Alfa Records and joined a progressive rock band １９８０年アルファ・レコードとの契約で来日、プログレッシブ・ロックバンドのメンバーとなる。 Following the disbandment of TACHYON in 1982, he immersed himself in the Tokyo jazz scene where he sharpened his craft.1982年のタチヨン解散後、彼は東京のジャズシーンに身を投じ、そこで自身の技術を磨いた。
